Edward Vaught was the third child of Celestial Elizabeth Cox and Otho Vaught.

This document was the first rung up the ladder in locating my great grandparents, William Newton Cox and Ellen Adams. Although it does not name them, it clearly gives great-aunt Lizzie’s full name as Celestial Elizabeth Cox, and Ohio as her place of birth as simply "Ohio". The parents' place of residence is listed as Eufala, Oklahoma. Otho's place of birth is Kentucky and his occupation is "farmer."
