Generation No. 1

1. CELESTIAL "LIZZIE" ELIZABETH⁵ COX (WILLIAM NEWTON⁴, JACOB³, PETER², MICHAEL¹) was born 06 February, 1880 in Wayne County, Ohio, and died. 18 February, 1956 in Sherman, Texas. She married OTHO VAUGHT 15 February, 1897 in Boggy Depot, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory.

OTHO¹ VAUGHT was born 09 September, 1871 in Kentucky (or perhaps in Missouri), and died. 23 October, 1953 in Dallas, Texas.

At least the first seven of their fourteen children were born in Eufala, McIntosh County, Oklahoma. (Possible burial place for Johnnie, Bertha, and perhaps Major Cox Deeres Chapel Cemetery, 5 miles west of Eufaula).

ii. BERTHA VAUGHT, born 26 November, 1899; died about 1905 (choked on a corn cob).

3. iv. JESSE VAUGHT, born 01 July, 1904; died. 05 April, 1937.
v. MYRTLE VAUGHT, born 01 June, 1905; m. HENRY WILEY BRIANS. They lived in Monkstown, Texas.
vi. WILLIAM NEWTON VAUGHT, born 08 January, 1908; died. 06 January, 1994, Lubbock, Texas; m. LOIS LYNCH, 25 March, 1934.
vii. OTHO J. VAUGHT, born September 1909; died after 1910. Although listed in the 1910 census, he is missing from the census of 1920.
viii. HENRY VAUGHT, born 01 September, 1910.
ix. <unnamed female>, born 27 February, 1912; died March 1912. (Howard’s twin sister.)
x. HOWARD VAUGHT, born 27 February, 1912; died. 02 July, 1973, Dallas, Texas.
xi. VERNON VALE VAUGHT, born 17 March, 1914. Lived in Sherman, Texas.
4. xii. THOMAS VAUGHT, born 10 January, 1917.
xiii. ALENE VAUGHT, born 27 October, 1919.
5. xiv. GERALDINE VAUGHT, born 27 Oct. 1919; died. 05 May, 1994 in Hannibal, Missouri;

2. EDWARD² VAUGHT (OTHO¹) was born 02 August, 1902, and died. 22 June, 1976. He married JEWELL DIAL 1925.
